Her story touched more people than just me, so it was encouraged by several associations fighting for the emancipation of women to put the experience on paper because it’s worth being spread out. The book is a perfect x-ray, written in a very tasteful style, of the archaic Romanian village and all the chores that come with such a life. A world on the path of extinction, given to oblivion by the vast majority of people, but which lives on further, even if in a difficulty hard to imagine by someone who has not lived there… The heart still beats, with difficulty, for the authentic Romanian village community, but for how long?
